I think we definitely do need to discuss misogyny in queer male spaces more but one thing that’s really bothering me is how a lot of y’all especially white queer people will use misogynistic queer men to deflect from your own bigotry

I think every single member of the LGBTQ community should take a class on reading comprehension. If you’re opposed to this then you may be part of the problem.

White lesbians are quick to call out misogyny but the second you call out their racism or homophobia suddenly they’re victimizing themselves. The same goes for a lot of white trans people, don’t think your internalized misogyny, homophobia, and racism go unnoticed

Let’s also discuss how a lot of people in the LGBTQ+ community still ask invasive questions and are transphobic. You’re 100% right, and people here are blowing things out of proportion 😭😭

random question but is racism specifically discrimination or can it also be ignorance (when it doesn’t harm people). like I’ve been rooming with my black friend and they bring up things like people in the area being racist, and I just have no idea how to respond. I’m not just gonna say “wow that sucks” but if I felt like I just didn’t know enough abt their situation to actually comment on it, so I just awkwardly stayed silent 💀

idk like I wanna know more about their experience being black, but also I don’t want to be more aware of the mindsets of racists because I don’t want to sympathize with or humanize them. racism is a mire steeped in false logic, and I don’t want to expose myself to its arguments if I don’t have to
