I’m gonna be honest… People in this group are very quick to write off others here as *something* they do not like (i.e a bootlicker, Zionist, Liberal). This place only exists for leftist/left infighting and to be pissed at each other for certain issues.

Yup💯 the infighting is way worse now than it used to be and I see people getting called horrible things just because they have a slightly different, nuanced take on something

I think the best thing about communities is talking about different views that are minuscule or wanting to learn from.

If you vote for the people who committed the imperialist mass murder of Palestine or Yemen, you are not a leftist. If you vote for an imperialist, genocidal party every election, unconditionally, you are not a leftist. If you repeat imperialist talking points and spread liberal propaganda (china bad, Kamala good, vote demokkkrat) you are not a leftist.

PS: Every socialist and communist party in the USA denounced Harris and Trump as genocidal imperialists. None endorsed her. The US is an brutal empire and first world citizens are a global ruling class. Amerikkkans are a labor aristocracy, to quote Lenin, who benefit from imperialism. Harris/Trump voters supported genocide bc it was their interest to do so.

So question, who do you want people to vote for if we know most of the time the other parties don’t have a good shot at winning

A socialist or communist party

Right but we don’t have a designated party for that, the closest one I can think of is the green party but they never have a great chance

Your reasoning is circular “I wont vote for a non-genocidal party because they wont win” well they wont win because millions of people wont vote for them

The core issue is this: people vote in their own self-interests, and it is the self-interest of imperial citizens to support imperialism

Im not saying I wouldn’t vote for them, I 100% would but it just doesn’t work that way because of how our system is built

Well yeah? To help the world we need to fix what’s wrong with us. People vote for blue because a lot of the time they want to help us fix what’s wrong with us and then we can focus on tasks at hand. Im just coming from it’s simply not black and white

Agreed, liberal democracy was built to maintain genocidal white supremacy and a hegemonic hold on political and cultural thought. And voting for this system inherently enables, legitimize, and perpetuates it

“Help the world” the US does far right coups all over the world to maintain neocolonial regimes that keep their people in poverty. The basis of western economies is the plundering on the Global South. The US has killed millions of people in the last 20 years and oppresses billions more. You are the problem with the world

Then blame the system, not the people who are forced into using the system because of fear and wanting to have a slim chance of getting their voice heard

The system is supported and enabled by millions of people like you. Its like slavery or the nazis. You are collectively guilty. You go along with it because it benefits you, and then act powerless.

Do you think people who voted for nazism or slavery were the victims too

Right okay so I think if anything we are on 2 different pages, im saying the system that America has built sucks. I am not a fan of it and I hate for the last couple years we have had to go with “its the best out of the two”. Neither are good choices but one would actually have listened to some of our concerns

I get what you are trying to say but ur blaming people who used the system cause it is the only way to be heard in anyway

I’m going to be honest with you, it’s really not worth having a meaningful conversation with this person. I know this type of person for better or worse, they’ll act morally superior to you and are just an all-around pessimist.
