exactly, and it’s especially concerning since I’ve mostly seen people in leftist spaces fall for it when it concerns topics like rape and sexual assault.

I vividly remember a Girl Talk post asking if it was ok to misgender her rapist, and everyone in the comments assumed it was a trans woman and called her by male pronouns. then when the OP said it was a trans guy, everyone in the comments still called him by male pronouns. the entire thing rubbed me so far the wrong way

Ya I was thinking about this sort of thing yesterday; a lot of it they use leftist “trigger words” or vocabulary to spread their bullshit, and so many ppl have trashed their attention span and focus that I think they’re just hearing things that sound sort of similar to other stuff they believe and they like don’t even process it

Oooohh I haatteeee that whole thing in general, like thinking it’s ok to misgender trans ppl just bc you don’t like them or bc they’re awful people. Also it’s misogynistic as fuck, like you decide that when a woman does something you don’t like she’s no longer a woman?? Isn’t that what misogynists do???
