something really kind of gross about how eager people are to take conversations about TERFs and make it all about men instead of focusing on trans women. you know, the basis of the entire acronym.
it’s because these men’s rights activists see trans women as a shield from women criticising men's complicity in misogyny 🫢

Are you saying people turn it into a conversation about cis men???? That's insane

That and trans women in sports… They assume that I am going to agree or disagree. My solution has been let them play or don’t. I am tired of having people bitch about it to me.

Every time without a doubt. I don’t know why they care so much but I have fear more via men than any trans women.

This is exactly the kind of conversation where it DOES make sense to talk about TERFs, because they are excluding trans women from women’s spaces. TERFs have had a major role in advocating for these bans (look at any of the bs JKR was saying around the Olympics last year)

yeppp I see a lot of it here, where when someone mentions TERFs people go “they’re making men feel bad for being men 🥺”. and conversations about misogyny get derailed by the not-all-men crowd calling you a TERF. it’s ridiculous

That’s, uh, something else. I'd expect people to focus a little more on uhhhh Trans People when the acronym is about being Trans Exclusive. Welp.
