this is a way blurrier line than you think it is lmao. i have “male genitals” but at this point in my transition i get more attention from straight men on the apps than i do from basically any other group. obviously the userbase is a factor but its not just “a few select people on either side”

not exactly, not all of them. I know a lot of gay men who are attracted to all men and don’t gaf what’s in their pants (and vice versa with lesbians). Yah some ppl have genital preference, but some ppl don’t. Honestly I think we’re all too hung up abt it it doesn’t have to be a big deal, we all like what we like.

so the neat thing about being a member of marginalized identity is that we have the ability to recognize that many things can be true at once. people can be attracted to whoever AND have any genital preference, and its wholly antithetical to the idea of being queer to call this “an exception to the rule”. we ARE the exceptions to the “rule” already
