we’ve probably all seen this clip from the LA protests. but did anyone see the officer on the left (the one who shot the reporter) nudge his buddy to the right before shooting? i think he was telling them to turn away because they had a bodycam on…

i only say that because you can see the officer to the right is wearing a green shoulder mount, which usually holds a bodycam. the officer who shot the reporter is not wearing one.

it is very, very unlikely the officer or anyone will be held responsible. they’re already pushing the narrative that these are violent riots, they can likely find some bullshit excuse that’ll hold up decently in court. “oh, i meant to aim for a rioter behind the camera man” could be a fine excuse, especially if the officer standing next to him has no bodycam footage of what exactly happened because they were facing away.

50 people could have recorded the incident on top of tons of witnesses, but if the DA is prosecuting a cop for excessive force, they only care about bodycam footage and audio. there likely isn’t clear audio of this event because of all of the background noise and gunshots.
