i appreciate her for saying the quiet part out loud tho because lately everybody has been talking about biphobia as if it is specifically a vessel for the sentiment “we’ve come so far that they’re making it a crime to be straight/with a man.” not only is that crazy out of touch as trans people are under attack and gay marriage is at risk, biphobia is so much more insidious than that

and honestly, society would love for you to date and end up with a man! society would love for lesbians to “find the right man.” it’s just ridiculous to frame biphobia as tho it’s perpetuated primarily by queer people against bi people in straight couples rather than by straight people against bi people in general
