People who are nonbinary and have come out to their family, how did they take it? If they took it well, what were the ways they respected your wishes of wanting to be perceived as a nonbinary person? ( I hope that made sense, if it didn’t Im so sorry)

They took it ok. I actually told them about my name change first and they took that pretty well. I THOUGHT I had told them I’m non-binary, but apparently I didn’t or they didn’t remember that, so I re-came out a month or so later. It went alright, they were confused but ultimately supportive. They haven’t been great about my name, and really have been terrible about my pronouns, but I see the baby steps happening (and there’s so much going on in my family right now, we’ve got other priorities).
