By “pronouns” I mean like he/her/they/zi/dem all that stuff. We still have things like I, we, and you all. I was teaching someone my language and most of the words are kind of ingrained without pronouns. Like “Odamino” means “he/she/they play.” When my friend asked me “How do you say Zi plays?” I was just like, “Oh, my language doesn’t have pronouns.” And zay thing I’m being TRANSPHOBIC? 😭

this is just someone who doesn’t understand that some languages doesn’t have gendered pronouns/conjugations/adjectives… you’re not being transphobic lol.

No??? Some languages dont make a distinction. English really should update past gendered pronouns

No, if your language doesn’t have them.. then how exactly are you supposed to use them? Unless you create them? And then.. I feel like that is kinda going backwards

if your language doesn’t have them that’s fair i was actually talking to someone earlier about how in spanish you just use plural pronouns when referring to me since i use they/them & in the cases it doesn’t u can use either i don’t mind

There are terms for “boy” and “girl” and even terms for trans or non binary people. We just don’t have binary pronouns ig.

Congrats on missing the point! 🥳 News flash, not all languages are English. Not all languages are gendered. Not all languages fully employ constant pronoun usage.

I sadly only know a few things… 😞 I just recognised it with you mentioning ‘wiin’ in another comment.
