I def understand why that's hard and can hurt but look at it this way it makes life way less stressful for you and also just trust in your relationship and your importance in each others lives like my partner doesn't have any family and I wasn't able to meet his friends until a while into our relationship, but I knew even if that didn't go well it wouldn't change our relationship yk
