Being gay doesn’t automatically mean you aren’t misogynistic and I fear some gay people don’t want to acknowledge it

literally it’s for this reason that it irks me when gay men call women bitches

it’s the same thing with being homophobic. just because you’re a part of the community doesn’t make it okay for you to shit on other queer people!! we are in this together wtf are you doing!!

Idk if it’s misogynistic or not but as a bi man I’m very wary of women because the majority of biphobia I’ve experienced has always come from straight women. So I lowkey avoid them sometimes

I fear that is almost exclusively an issue amongst cis gay men.

I fear the population of gay people who are misogynistic is a very small percent of the whole. I fear (as a gay guy), gay people can just be rude when they’re in a bad mood. 😬🥱

I don’t really agree with you, I think if a woman is okay with a gay man calling her a bitch jokingly, it’s fine, but I fully respect your opinion and see where you are coming from

Oh fs, if they’re both cool w it then yea! More like if a gay man calls a woman a bitch just to call her one is when it’s an issue

I’m not invalidating your experience, and I don’t personally think it’s misogynistic as a woman myself, but I think biphobia is on the rise too bc I’ve experienced from many genders. I also think it’s a current administration problem too because my mom who has not gave af about me being bi for years has all of a sudden became really homophobic. So like it’s definitely rough out there. I wish you luck tho!

I've noticed with bisexuals there's a weird narrative where bi men are "actually gay" and bi women are "actually straight". It's very odd and disturbing to see that a lot of people assume that if you're attracted to men, you can ONLY be attracted to men. That's may be where some of the negative experiences with women come from

i never understood this bc as a bi woman i thought dating a bi man was the dream when dating a guy and then i found out a lot of women thinks it’s gross or whatever and ive been so confused ever since?? i think it’s fun to point out hot people in movies to each other and for them to understand bisexuality and not just fetishize it like some straight men idk 😭
