I’ve noticed a trend of trans men sharing experiences similar to this one and being hated on for it until they mention being trans, it’s unfortunate

I think the nuance you’re missing is that trans people and women are both marginalized gender groups under the patriarchy. It’s not that you’re “only male-adjacent” (anyone who’d say that is a transphobe, and also wrong) it’s that it’s obviously unreasonable to treat you as oppressor. Cis men, too, suffer from the patriarchy in some ways, but they benefit from it in so many, and they need to actually make an effort to resist it. Men socialized in misogyny who don’t care to change it, uphold it.
