As someone who works at a college this is literally breaking my heart. Students use your voices. You pay to go to these institutions and you deserve to not only feel safe but supported and included!!

Also I got the WKYC notification for this: I’m at BGSU now and I expect we’ll follow suit shortly. Work with your community to create an organization unaffiliated with the university! That’s what I plan on doing when the time comes. :)

jokes aside. recent OSU grad, when this happened here, people were terrified at first, then began creating their own groups and integrating with the queer community outside of OSU (which ik is a privilege we have in the city). it takes effort, but i promise you things will come out okay
