yeah as someone in a LDR it feels like a weird distinction to make. just because you're not physically together most of the time doesn't mean you're not aware of how the other person looks. it certainly doesn't mean that you're not romantically attracted to that person. imo in order for LDR to work you have to really be romantically into that person because it's a lot of work
they clearly meant it as some kind of petty jab, it just doesn’t land regardless. cause the point I was making is that people can-and-will still find you lovable and sexy if you aren’t conventionally attractive, this is something I know to be objective fact based on a vast array of experiences, that ex was just one example
