I can see how that point is bad, but at the same time I’ve seen people make the point that trans man can’t be lesbians because they are men while transmascs can be because they’re not necessarily men (not saying they’re women, just that they aren’t men)

Yeah. Like I think trans men can be lesbians because not all trans men use the label in a binary way, but I think saying Transmascs are “not binary men.” Is better than “woman aligned.”

Imo it rlly comes down to the expansion of the term lesbian to mean “non-men loving non-men”, which definitely includes transmascs if they want to be included in it. While trans men specifically aren’t necessarily included, I think that’s why we’ve developed the he/him lesbian category for exactly what you’re saying. Trans men can absolutely be sapphic and experience love in a sapphic way, which I think is better described as being a he/him lesbian than a lesbian trans man

To be honest, I’m not sure I understand why there’s a distinction between sapphic love and other forms of love. Do other people see sapphic love, gay love, straight love, etc as fundamentally different things?
