to add to this: some people find comfort in labels and some find them restrictive! a lot of people who are unlabeled or call themselves ‘queer’ arent undecided or smth but protesting the idea of strict categories and that’s important to remember
yall HAVEEEE to let people be unlabeled. we cannot claim to be accepting of all queer people and then shame them for not wanting to stamp a title on themselves. (take kit connor being forced out of the closet for example). LET PPL LIVEEE

there’s also SO much complexity in this topic, I’ve been out since I was 9 (so almost 12 years) but I’ve gone by queer for the past few bc i truly feel like no label can truly encompass my sexuality. I guess I like who I like, and trying to find a label put way too much stress on me to preform my sexuality one certain way. queer as a label is freeing to me.

That’s what I love about “Queer”. I have plenty of labels that fit me but it’s so much easier to just say “Queer” and not have to explain to others how I’m agender/non-binary Transfemme with toric attraction because “straight woman” just doesn’t cut it. 😂

I know that’s pretty much what you’re saying, just wanted to add my experience as someone who calls myself queer🫶
