and yes this is mostly about Mac from date everything, almost all the fanart i see is either making him look super childish/baby-like, or it’s art of him sprawled out helpless on the floor. can we for once recognize that disabled people are actually capable of having and enjoying sex, and stop fetishizing their disabilities?

it’s like people refuse to recognize people with disabilities as sexual beings unless that disabled person is actively helpless and is being infantilized.

actual comment section under a tiktok with Mac fanart…they talk about wheelchair users like they forget they can’t or shouldn’t walk or use their legs. also, isn’t Mac an ambulatory wheelchair user? they likely wouldn’t be in that situation in the first place, and it’s so weird sexualizing a disabled person needing help…

I don’t even know who this character is, I’ve never seen this type of fan art about any wheelchair user at all but I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user so I’d definitely be alarmed
