i honestly realized that femininity felt more like a costume than my genuine self, so i explored other avenues and found myself feeling most at home in my body when i was perceived as a man.

I realized that I am not comfortable seeing myself as a man, like one day I literally just reached up to turn on a fan and saw my arm all hairy and muscular and manly and had a whole panic attack about it. That was after I spent a few years trying to bury those feelings though so it might not be as explosive for everyone.
