Two young women named Wendy Faith (22) and Diana Denise (21) from Arua, Uganda are facing life in prison under the country’s Anti-Homosexuality Act (passed 2023) after being accused by members of their community of allegedly kissing each other in public.

Queer liberation truly needs to be a global movement - we’re not free anywhere until we’re free everywhere. There is an AllOut petition, addressed to the Ugandan govt, for Wendy and Diana (find it at the AllOut website) but please be cautious about signing if you’re planning to travel to Uganda because you can also be imprisoned (up to 20 years) for publicly supporting lgbt rights

Their actions being… expressing affection? Doing things you or I do very comfortably all the time? Also keep in mind these are accusations against them (there isn’t a photo of them kissing or anything) so they could have been accused even based off of suspicion, or the fact that they lived together

Being in a consensual and loving relationship? That makes no sense. They did nothing wrong in any way, shape, or form. Do you need therapy or support for substance abuse?
