Like yes this is terf rhetoric but many trans ppl in my circles have, with well meaning, said that because im masc i am just an egg trans guy. Like yeah thats true in a lot of cases but it doesnt feel like my identity is being respected in those cases

so it sounds like they had a wonderfully supportive social circle who encouraged them to further explore who they were, and instead of deciding that maybe they arent trans, but also not perfectly cis, they doubled down on their previous cis identity and made their detransition a grift?

What she said is valid and I’ve experienced it too. Stop trying to police other people’s experiences. This DOES happen. Not everyone is trans just bc they’re gender fluid or cross dress or play with gender norms and style.

I’m not trying to police anyone’s experience, I just don’t know any other trans person or have seen/heard of another trans person with the mindset of “oh youre a femboy/tomboy? Sounds like you’re trans! You should be trans!” Every trans person I’ve seen doesn’t give two shits if you’re a tomboy or a trans dude, so where are all these trans ppl trying to force label tomboys/femboys?????

It’s not always trans people pushing this. Nobody even said anything about it being trans people who are doing this, actually. In my experience, it’s been ppl who are pretty uneducated about the lgbt community in general, especially gender identity. Usually it’s straight people.
