“People don't think I'm queer because I'm in a straight relationship”
do you still show up to queer events? advocate for community in real life and leave a positive impact? accept queer identities you don’t understand? take gay relationships seriously?
are people not allowed to be frustrated abt being invalidated w/o someone (you) interrogating them?? genuinely you could do all of this and some people would say you’re invading queer spaces.

okay so when people say this they're complaining about how other people assume they're straight just from first glance/looks. The other people don't know if the person goes to queer events or whatever.

Guys what’s op is saying is every lgbt+ person has a responsibility to do activism and show up for their community when they can and people who can pass as straight can use that to their advantage
