I hate this so bad:( i’m bi and I genuinely mourn the fact that i’ll never been in with the lesbians or allowed in a lesbian friend group or experience lesbian culture. I feel like there’s so much I don’t know about being queer as a bi woman because the Internet and personal experience (very little) can only teach me so much💔💔 I want to be allowed and welcomed into those spaces
There was a post yesterday where a bi person pointed out that straight women and lesbians both refusing to date bisexuals because they’re bi give the exact same reasoning but lesbians are getting much more lenience and they got completely dogged on in the comments as if they didn’t understand that SOME les4les people couldn’t possibly be biphobic, it’s fucking ridiculous
Same and what sucks most for me is that I only call myself bi because I am open to experiencing something with a guy but would never want to spend my life with one and rarely feel attraction towards them. So it’s like, where tf do I fit in when I don’t feel comfortable calling myself lesbian but my life experiences mainly fit that label 😭🥀
You are welcome in lesbian spaces!! As a lesbian, i think its important to remember our differences and embrace them but its also sooo important to remember our similarities. I also believe that a bisexual community distinct from lesbian and gay communities is so important because i feel like bisexuals should have their own space (this is not in any way attempting to advocating for separatism or anything). Yall are not half gay or half lesbian or half straight. You are BISEXUAL 🩷💜💙
i wish people left bisexuals alone :/ over the last few years i’ve stopped labeling my identity bc of the intracommunity discourse around bisexuals, asexuals, and genderqueer people. i used to be very proud to be bi and ace, but lately i just call myself queer to save myself the headache.
