Well it certainly attracted the attention of the “I don’t take political sides” group. And now look where we are…Gaza is still being destroyed AND Donald Trump is President. As an artist with a huge fanbase, it’s so dangerous to veer your fanbase towards a “middle ground”. Specially in our current political climate. Idc what your reasons are, anyone who opposed Kamala under the guise of “I don’t agree with her stance with Gaza” is equally responsible for the continual violence occurring there

right so what u just said adds to my point that her remarks were genuine (whether u disagree with them or not) and not some marketing psyop. the best thing an artist can do for their career is stay out of politics altogether. she also didn’t veer her base toward the middle ground. she still in the end said she will vote for kamala but didn’t like her, a stance that most left leaning people took.

also chappell roans remarks aren’t steering people toward the middle ground. most americans of all demographics already disliked both parties to some capacity before she said shit. u can’t shepherd people into a certain faction if they already held largely similar views
