I think that’s the part that confuses me. To me, that’s like saying 0 (zero) doesn’t need a label because it doesn’t exist. Like yeah zero is technically “nothing,” but we need a label for “nothing” in order to understand it and to expand our knowledge. Without a label for zero we wouldn’t have coding. Phones wouldn’t have been possible.

Agender would be the closest approximation to 0 gender in terms of a label, but if someone doesn’t want to label themselves they don’t want to. We are not computers, we’re living breathing, feeling humans.
