I live in Texas but went to a pride parade in Denver this year. It was very therapeutic honestly

I live in Michigan, which is a very queer friendly state in comparison to others. We have plenty of parades but they’re not nearly as big as they used to be. Felt more like small celebration rather than a community event.

Oh damn :( I’m in mass, so I definitely think we just haven’t had the effects hit just yet. Pride was big but I was worried about possible counter protesters, they were there but I didn’t see them. I missed local pride bc I was at college, and Boston pride was huge and overwhelming, so I definitely wouldn’t have noticed a smaller local parade

Like I’m not doubting you at all, I just know I’m privileged to live in basically the bluest blue state, and I want to check in with other places bc I definitely aren’t feeling shit as much as red/less blue states
