love how this community will wholeheartedly engage in worthless “do bisexuals belong at pride” infighting but the moment someone mentions a valid criticism of pride events (lack of accessibility for disabled people) y’all have nothing to say
local pride events be like: this event is inclusive and open to everyone! it’s hosted in a cozy tiny basement with no windows or AC, and it’s only 3 flights of stairs down to the venue! (no elevator) no masks required! $20 entry fee!

No deadass it’s wild we all need to grow up and mask up for our safety (both for health and surveillance at this point)

No masks, no ramps and elevators, no clear paths for those with canes, no interpreters, lack of adequate shading and water supplies… list goes on.

i think some people may not realize that masking is important for immunocompromised people. it’s not about keeping YOU safe, it’s about keeping the people around you safe.

I’m confused, why would bisexuals not belong at pride? They’re not straight so..? But anyway, I’ve never been to a pride event and that does seem awful. Why create an event that’s inclusive and welcoming when they don’t think about things like that

they do, that’s the point. people love fighting on here about “well bi girls with bfs shouldn’t be at pride bc they’re in a straight passing relationship and don’t face the issues bi people do and blah blah blah” all the fucking time. people just tend to forget that inclusivity actually means everyone, not just white cis able-bodied queer ppl

i always love the places that advertise an accessible ramp, only to get there and see that the ramp is steeper than fucking mount thor itself

I interpret at a church for AA meetings where the ramp to one of the side doors leads to a room where there are three staircases. That’s it. No elevator, lift, ramp inside, nada. Thankfully the door by the elevator is very flat. The other ramp is just… kind of insulting, it seems.

Idk why yall are downvoting you. You’re right. I’m bi as a girl but I dont want a bf. I can find boys attractive for sure, it’s in the name BIsexual meaning BOTH. If I was in a wlw relationship, I’d face the issues bi people do. You can still face them if youre not in wlw
