btw I love my fellow aspecs since we’re generally so “fuck it we nuance” with labels 😭
hey guys! let’s talk about the split attraction model. it separates romantic & sexual attraction, & opens discussion for differences in intensity & direction. those with split alignments will describe themselves with multiple terms (eg. pansexual lesbian)

idk what happened to #1 😭 but to answer their question: “intensity” refers to experiencing little-to-no attraction or experiencing attraction only under certain conditions. direction is just which genders you’re attracted to.

for example, my friend Silver is an aromantic straight man. he experiences little to no romantic attraction while experiencing sexual attraction to women. “aro” describes intensity of romantic attraction while “straight” describes direction of his sexual attraction

oh, and any label that states direction also implies intensity. so Silver is allosexual (has a typical experience of sexual attraction). so someone who’s just a lesbian would be an allosexual alloromantic homoromantic homosexual. all of that is packaged into the label “lesbian,” and those labels are assumed unless otherwise stated. that’s why people attach multiple labels together just to describe their sexuality. attraction with nuanced intensity & direction don’t have their own terms 😭

oh and in Silver’s case, “straight” with nothing else implies he’s allosexual. my friend Allison, though, is a lithoromantic biromantic aegosexual straight woman. be thankful if you can describe your sexuality in one word because people know what you mean when you just say “lesbian” 😭
