Commenter said that if you believe 0 you are a fascist. OP said if you believe 1 you are a hypocrite. I was just asking *hypothetically* what one could be called if you believed in 2 or 3. I personally believe all 4! Hoping for a blue tsunami đ on Tuesday to help protect the rights of all.
I didnât frame it that way though. I literally said âwhat if YOUâ not âwhat if Iâ believed that. I may be borderline autistic though and expect people to take things more literally. I just wanted to build upon the pattern that was forming. The OP told us what you would be if you believed in 1, a comment told us what you would be if you believed in 0. Logically, I was curious to see if we could collectively come up with a word for 2 and 3, to complete this gap in information.
âWhat if you / suppose you / etc.â are common rhetorical setups that donât specify an exact listener and can include the speaker as well. Thinking one group of people deserves rights but others donât is hypocritical because there are constant overlapsâ think intersectionality. âImmigrants donât deserve rights, women doâ, yet there are immigrants who are women. Thatâs why itâs hypocritical. OP didnât specifyâif you believe the first exclamation is true, but not the fourthâŚâ as an example.
Ok. I guess it could have included me, but the reader should know that it doesnât necessarily include me, since I was vague. The OP said that if you agree with one proclamation and not others, you are a hypocrite. I am wondering what you/one would be if you/one believed in exactly 2 or 3 of the listed proclamations. We already know what you/one would be if you/one believed in 0 or 1 of the 4 proclamations.
OP hasnât commented on if none of them are addressed, and thinking two of these groups deserve rights but two donât is still hypocritical, as is three but not one. Anything less than acknowledging that all of these demographics deserve rights is horrendous and not something that should be recognised or really given energy.
