Quick reminder to some of y’all that some of us are from the conservative south & Midwest. When I tell you fighting about this stuff sounds like privilege to me & others, it’s the truth. Like, some of us can’t safely be queer & this is why we’re fighting?

do you identify as a trans man lesbian? no? then stfu about trans man lesbians, let other people live their lives. this is such a non-issue.

I’m from the south and this is so dumb, the idea that trans men can be lesbians also perpetuates the idea that lesbians can like men and that there’s always an “exception” and that lesbians are pretending they don’t like men

Right? Like, I can’t be out because I’d be disowned completely and I love and adore my family And this is what we’re upset about?

Op: It’s a privilege to be upset over other people’s identities You: So true, anyways, about these other people’s identities

We can’t keep fighting people over things that don’t matter when our rights are being actively dismantled

This is the dumbest response I’ve ever heard. The idea that lesbians can like men is actual conversion therapy rhetoric

Nobody’s saying lesbians can like men?

What someone personally identifies as does not in any way make lesbians have to like men. Just let people identify how they feel they should. It doesn’t affect you, and OUR RIGHTS ARE BEING TAKEN AWAY. Let’s focus our energy on something useful

Hi, lesbian here! That is not at all the point of this conversation. It’s not about lesbians liking men it’s about someone who you do not know having a label that makes them feel comfortable with themself. Nobody’s saying lesbians have to be ok with dating trans men, we’re saying if a trans man identifies as a lesbian it’s nobody’s business but themself

Ok, cool, and your phrasing this like it’s an assault against lesbians rather than someone exercising their right to identify as they wish. A few trans men identifying as lesbians does literally nothing to you. If you meet a trans man lesbian who’s interested in you but you don’t want to date a trans man ok ! That’s literally fine! Nobody’s saying lesbians can like men.

And once more, the point of THIS post is that there’s way more pressing concerns than this. What’s more concerning, the fact some trans men identify as lesbians or the fact that many of us can’t openly be ourselves without risking life and limb. Stop policing other people’s identities and go donate to charity or a protest or something, come on.
