those who were at or are currently at any of the no kings protests, how did things go? i was trapped at work all day and have only now been able to start looking at the news, but man there is a lot to look through, so run downs of events are appreciated!!

we went to 3. got kicked out by the cops at one. the second one was dead, and the third was pretty rad. got interviewed by the local paper and stuff. made some good connections.

One of the Atlanta ones had tear gas deployed from what I saw, other than that the others in my area went super smoothly

AVL had a few next to each other. No cops, people passing by honked and gave thumbs up, including EMS and fire department. People dressed as captain America and aliens. Booths from the sierra club and socialist movements. Some speakers. Lots of dogs. Some people selling stuff like a farmers market but itโ€™s avl so thatโ€™s expected lol. Briefly slowed traffic when people walked in the bike lane

yeah the first two blew. evidently they were for profit events selling like $60 t-shirts and they did not like leftist groups being there ๐Ÿ˜ญ

oh it did! it's nice to see people hitting the streets to try and do something about thisโ€”especially down south.

awesome!! fr, before my shift i was able to watch a tiny bit of the LA protest and it was so cathartic to see the sheer number of people there in solidarity. glad to hear the south was lively too!!
