How tf am I supposed to dress even remotely NB in a conservative town? I already get weird looks going out with my boyfriend. I feel like I might get hate-crimed if they see an amab wearing a skirt or something.

pretty much just accessories, like hats (big fan of beanies), painted nails, bracelets, necklaces, headphones around neck, bandana, styled hair, sun sleeves (a fav of mine). second layers & shoes are also good for variety (I’m a big boots person). going for certain styles that are more androgynous/unisex (like alt or goth) can give good plausible deniability

also highly recommend finding that perfect length of shorts & figuring out how to make sleeveless shirts look androgynous/feminine on you. the way clothes are cut can accentuate or draw attention away from different parts of you or provide different body shapes
