To the people who were saying LGB in light of trans people being targeted, what’s happening is exactly what we warmed yall about. No amount of ‘being one of the normal gays’ will save you from being erased by bigots.

This is so simple to understand, and I think people know, they truly just have that much hate in their heart that they are willing to risk themselves for someone else to burn

After a huge blowback, bisexuals have been added back to the main website, although I think they’re still removed from some pages

They don’t hate how queer you are, they hate that you’re queer at all. The straight man that paints his nails on occasion is no less a target than the blue haired Tumblr teen with 200+ xenogenders and uses 17 sets of neopronouns. They want everyone on Earth to fit a specific archetype, and they will try their darnedest to achieve that with whatever means they deem necessary.

some people are truly just gay, not queer. i mean that in the sense that they don't care for their community or the people who are responsible for the fact that they have the right to exist how they are. if you support this, you are not a "normal gay," you are a bigot whom your community probably wants nothing to do with

Literally at my job today some stupid 15-year-old kid said the trans people were wrong because he didn’t understand it. I’ve been sitting here, listening to these hateful comments as a lesbian, and just wondering how people can be so ignorant. It’s just stupid.

It’s literally “you today, us tomorrow.” Do you think they’ll remove/go after gays or lesbians next?

This litteraly didn’t happen. The first line on the stonewall website is “Before the 1960s, almost everything about living authentically as a lesbian, a bisexual person or a gay man was illegal”. I agree with the message here, but do yall not fact check anything?

while i do empathize with trans people as well as the rest of the lgbtq community, how queer you are definitely matters. hiding or suppressing your queerness will 100% get you more accepted.

it’s not an opinion dude i’m genuinely just saying it how it is. do i agree with it? no. do i think its right for anyone to be treated any differently based on their sexual orientation? fuck no. but i’m not gonna deny that in my own gay experience, suppressing myself hasn’t gotten me accepted into more social circles.

definitely not as much as if i was allowed to be myself, but at the end of the day, id rather be included than to live my truth. i’m 18, i’ve still got so much time to learn things that maybe you have already learned such as that you should live for yourself and not for others and things of that nature

I know, I’ve seen the articles. After I saw them, I went to the website to check, and it’s still there

what is a “highschool ass take”? once again, this isn’t a take, i’m sharing my personal experience. it’s not meant to be argumentative

Look at the third comment on here. The fact that they were removed at all and still not fully put back is still completely unacceptable and shows their intention towards all of us

Honestly I’m 23 and from Mississippi and while it’s not a pretty truth, it absolutely is the case that people are more accepting if you try to act like a more “normal” queer person. Belittling this person because of their lived experiences is an insane way to go about combatting this, it’s an uncomfortable reality to realize you live in and it shouldn’t be this way but trying to downplay the idea and saying it’s not the case doesn’t help us change it so people don’t have to think this way

I didnt hear that they had been put back, I just kept seeing people say they were removed and they were still there. That’s my bad then, I thought people were just repeating stuff without checking
