unless you were born intersex, there’s no way to identify as such.

kinda unrelated, but a lot of people don’t realize that being intersex is not that uncommon and a lot of intersex variants are not present at birth, like yes people can only have one type of gametes, but hormone levels and physical characteristics are not that black and white

No, even if you’re transitioning, you’re still endosex if you weren’t born Intersex. Some of us are both Trans and Intersex, but most folks are endosex, even if they transition medically.

Has physical traits associated with both sexes, and in recent years ive been gravitating more towards loving and accepting that about myself rather than driving myself insane thinking about internal sex organs and chromosomes and whatever things i cant change, which leads me to feel like even if i wasnt born like this originally i am somewhere in between natally female and male. Even though I have a binary gender identity (male) I guess the way I perceive my own sex isnt binary

then your identity would be more “gender non conforming” intersex ist the term that fits, it’s strictly medical about anatomy and dna. it’d be like saying you identify as having cancer because you’re bald but don’t actually have cancer

OP said "identify with" not "identify as" identify with means relating to. Idc either way tbh. It doesn't negatively effect me at all and me and OP probably have similar medical treatment and are probably given similar considerations by doctors in some regards.

Except the OP is not talking about gender identity. Did you even read HIS comment before you replied saying HIS gender identity is “gender non conforming”? He is a binary man with physical characteristics of both sexes.

I get it, it was just wild to see lol. But also intersex may not be as defined as you think, there are some conditions that should fall under the intersex umbrella but are not labeled as such because medical establishments prefer to minimize the existence of people who defy their false binary. I have more in common with trans women than some people who are also definitely intersex.
