The right to gay marriage isn’t even old enough to drink yet, and is only held up by a Supreme Court decision, many states still have bans inactive but on the books, waiting for the decision to be reversed one day. The rights of transgender individuals aren’t won yet. Your existence is political because there are politicians who would want you dead.
for reference since they're about to be deleted: "can we stop talking about politics and talk about queer stuff. nobody wants to hear about your side's whining and justification for helping criminals." and they are in the comments talking about how we're not oppressed and that trans people are actually just mad that they aren't getting "special privileges" and that they're treated equal to everyone else
Yeah thanks for the reminder…. I don’t think any of us need to hear this especially during pride month. I know I as a lesbian face distress every day just from existing so stop acting like we all stopped suffering and owe our lives to people before us who are going the same exact things we are doing today to fight for our rights.
i agree with everything you’ve said but i do have one small correction about gay marriage protections- the respect for marriage act was signed in 2022 with congressional approval and codified several parts of obergefell into law. i just want people to have correct information so that we can stay fighting the important fights.
