Idk if this is just a stereotype but it personally never fit so Im confused, where is the idea that masc lesbians chase straight women come from? Because as a masc myself ive never felt that way and neither has any other lesbian I know

My guess is the old school predatory lesbian stereotype, but ive seen way too many ppl within the community parrot it to think its that simple

there are queer people of ALL identities with fantasies/fetishes for “turning” cishet people (gay men, lesbians - masc + femme -, bisexuals, trans people, whatever. i’ve even seen bisexual women try to push the boundaries of cishet men.) however, generalizing all queer people as sexual predators, or specifically singling out gay men, masc lesbians, and trans people is engaging in queerphobic tropes.

no that’s literally it. many people just can’t recognize it and then don’t unpack/unlearn homophobia and then unironically reproduce it within queer spaces, esp because so many people are learning about and developing their identity outside of the community where that would be called out, they’re just fumbling through it online.

the fantasy of “turning” someone isn’t exclusive to queer people, in fact the largest group of people with this fetish is cishet men who target queer women.

Yeah it always throws me for a loop when I see it because I (like most queer women) have experienced being fetishized buy cis straight guys, so I was confused about this 'epidemic' of other lesbians going for straight women especially because I was hearing this coming from other queer women,
