You yourself said it was an accident. Do you believe in punitive justice that strongly? I would rethink that. What do you really hope to achieve?

Does that friend acknowledge what they did wrong/understand and feel bad about it? Like is this a person who didn’t see any issues with outing your boyfriend, or was it a genuine accident that they are apologetic about it?
