Say what you want about taylor swift “contributing” to the queer community,I really don’t really care. Just don’t try to tell me that she’s done anything for the black queer community. We all know she hasn’t done A DAMN THING and she never will

She’s a fake ally at best. She’s just hot and musically talented so lesbians like her

More words discourse, but I feel like corporate feminism or white feminism describes this slightly better. “Liberal” can mean pretty different things to different people even in leftist spaces in my experience

But actually labeling things is kinda hard, since people love to claim ideologies they don’t actually hold to dilute the shit out of them. Like people like Bari Weis saying they’re liberal and then exclusively platforming conservative talking points 🙄

Why we denoting “feminist” like it’s a bad thing?

you skipped over the white part. white feminism is a term used to describe a feminism that does not see intersectionality and their feminism is conditional depending on the woman. for example, women who defend the hate that billionaires like t swift get because she’s a woman but stay silent about the women in afghanistan

when you use a compound adjective, if u hyphenate it people are more likely to understand that its not 2 separate adjectives

Some LGBTQIA+ people liking an artist does not, in fact, magically make them a queer icon 😔

This would be “liberal feminism”, something nonwhite women practice less but aren’t incapable of practicing. See: Kamala Harris

But yes, I agree liberal feminism is non-feminist and inherently self defeating. We don’t have any fundamental disagreements, I just misunderstood your words
