Yes but some of those white men were definitely gay white men so I do think it’s still important for the queer community to talk about the consequences of how LGBTQ+ people vote (or not vote)

Those who voted for trump are disproportionately not gay. It’s not an us problem, it’s American conservatism and the fact that a far-right populist movement could sweep the white vote like this is a sign that things aren’t working

It’s unfortunate that neither were great candidates but, neither was anyone in a middle party? simply not voting does nothing but throw a vote to the person with the highest votes and it’s unfortunate that it’s like that but it’s true. I’d much rather have Kamala as a president than Trump OR Jill

People know a 3rd party isn’t going to win, winning is not the goal. People are trying to get 3rd parties the minimum 5% they need to get federal funding so we can actually have some sort of diversity of thought and not just the “I love fascism” vs the “I normalize fascism” parties

I couldn’t agree more that the fervent fake-populist fascist movement is overtaking that demographic to a degree that is staggering and indicative of a deep cultural problem. /However/, young voter turnout was less than 50% and plenty of those people are queer. Gay conservatism isn’t a top issue but political apathy amongst our community and many other disenfranchised communities make this issue constantly worth hammering home.
