if u go somewhere with an informed consent model (like planned parenthood) u can get it the same week as ur appointment lol, i think it took like three weeks between calling them and getting in? so it took me like a month.

i live in an informed consent state and the and the doctor’s office i go to specializes in gender affirming care and LGBTQ+ care and they have walk-ins for patients ages 18-24 so i basically got my prescription day of. getting insurance to clear the prior authorization is another story tho that took like a month

informed consent you can get it the day of but id recommend speaking with a therapist for at least 2-3 sessions transitioning is a crazy process and some mental health support is essential

oh also make sure the conversation with your doctor is an in-depth one! your transition goals may be different than someone else’s so it’s good to talk to your doctor about them so that you get the dose that is right for you!
