like it may seem like an invasive or pointless question, but drug use changes what medications you can have and what doses you need. it’s not usually a life or death question, but certain drugs will interact with medications in a way that is potentially fatal. doctors and nurses do not care if you use drugs, they’re not judging you, they simply want to make sure you don’t die in their care.
