Oktoberfests are so fun I’ve been to it in Munich and it was amazing Idk if when you say your german you mean your great great grandparents were German or you’re actually from Germany but if the latter it’s probably a great way to connect with other Germans in your region

From what I know of oktoberfests it might be my vibe? Maybe? I like beer and I’m German, but I’m only recently overcoming some pretty severe anxiety so I haven’t really gone out to any town festivities before and therefore don’t know my town’s exact vibe. I’m from northern NJ though so most likely mostly left leaning? Hopefully?

Yeah I was considering asking my closest friend who also likes beer if she’d like to go with, though if she thinks overall that it’s a bad idea I probably won’t go

I actually was born in Germany and my dad and his whole side of the family is a mix of Swiss and German (and probably other stuff but those are the main two), though I didn’t live there long enough for any of the language or culture to make any impact on me
