traditionally, it’s when you get married fast to someone that you met in Vegas. in this case, they would’ve met in fiji, but vegas weddings are less about class than they are enjoyment and being swept away by someone fast. sometimes you get someone dressed as elvis to officiate it

basically it’s known for the 24-hour chapels, no waiting period, drive-through options, quickie legality

not inherently! it can be done without foresight occasionally, but its a case by case thing. i personally know 2 ppl who have had a vegas wedding, one ended in divorce but the other will likely go strong until the end
