I really don’t think this is the case. People aren’t getting that physical connection doesn’t equal perfect relationship and it was clear that in an emotional sense, they only ever saw each other as friends. Now if they’d started in a couple, could it have grown into something more? Sure, but they didn’t and you can’t force something that isn’t there
