i fully forgave him after the apology and voted for him to be in the final 4. But on aftersun, it seemed like he just took the apology back and went back to blaming the degrading things he said on her being “fragile”

You cannot expect people to just get over 4+ weeks of nasty behavior just because he said sorry. He said sorry because he knew it was the only way he’d be able to stay on the show for another day but he wasn’t really sorry and it’s shown by the fact he’s STILL speaking down on Aniya

personally i do think his apology was genuine, i think he just saw all the comments of people saying he did nothing wrong and ended up thinking he shouldn’t have taken accountability bc they made it seem like everyone who was upset was just being racist

I genuinely don’t think he would’ve apologized if the entire villa didn’t jump on his ass to apologize even after the movie night clips because he was actively trying to defend himself during every horrible clip when he could’ve just taken accountability right there if he really felt sorry. And now that he saw he has a fandom that backs him regardless, he’s emboldened to act however he wants again
