It wasnt clear episode 1 tho. He wasnt her type and she wasnt his type and in earlier episodes they were trying to figure out if its a friend thing or a romantic thing

i just meant the little interview portion in the colorful room before anybody even meets each other. she describes a type of guy she wants and bryce lowkey checked those boxes. i agree that early in the season it was giving friends, but they were just slow burn after all
