It’s such a perfect example of how widespread misinformation is spread on the internet as well as like dog piling/cancel culture

I’ve never really paid attention to when people say this stuff, but I’m looking at his accounts and all he did was follow an antisemetic account and go to Israel. So I guess that makes him a Zionist idf solider ? Are people stupid

So we gonna act like people don’t automatically associate Zionism with hate now or we can acknowledge that when people say Zionist they mean it in a derogatory way

Oh no people 1000% associate it with hate but my point is that it shouldn’t be bc the definition has gotten completely twisted over the last few years

As someone who didn’t know the definition I’ve only seen it be used in the context of saying someone is a villain. I appreciate the education today

it’s not belief in israel’s right to exist… it’s the belief that israel should remain a jewish state. that’s different. there are jewish people who are not zionists who are open to coexistence with palestinians

Israel has shown time and time again that they are open to sharing the space with Palestinians - they were constantly offering a 2 state solution, but Palestinians (Hamas more specifically) refused. Their goal is to have all of the land to themselves and to make it a completely Muslim state, even though Muslims are 100% accepted in Israel, with some of them working in the Israeli government.

Actually, Zionists have historically shown a willingness to share the land with Muslims through several peace initiatives and proposals for coexistence. From the early 20th century, Zionist leaders supported the idea of a two-state solution, including the 1947 United Nations Partition Plan, an offer which was accepted by the Jewish leadership but rejected by Arab leaders at the time.

More recently, Israel has signed peace treaties with Muslim-majority countries such as Egypt and Jordan, and has engaged in negotiations with Palestinian representatives, offering significant territorial compromises in efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution.
