I think he’s reading the tea leaves. They’re the only couple to get a date, that’s a pretty glaring sign, they were also the only couple to get no clips at movie night, again big sign. I also people were calling them their crack shop when the cast was announced, crackship turned real is a big pull for votes. Especially when the last season was nearly won by a week old couple between a modelesque black woman and her goofy white man.

Now respectfully, how would bryce know that him and Trinity were a crack ship when they coupled up on day 1? I would follow your argument of him playing it safe if he started to lay it on thick AFTER the date and movie night, but he very clearly had real feelings for her well before that. His behavior in casa and not bringing back someone despite knowing she was kissing a casa boy and there being a real possibility that she brought him back proved to me that he is genuine.
