If we "need" to have this convo then I think it's important to acknowledge that black racism is definitely more rampant and deeply rooted with modern systems than Asian racism is. Not to mention that a large part of Asian culture and their beauty standards has a lot to do with hating black people

This convo is obv stupid because racism is racism but on a global scale, you see more of black racism deeply integrated into multiple cultures and systems

White america does differentiate tho... I'm not saying that Asian hate isn't real, but Asians in America have statistically better life outcomes and economical prospects than African Americans. Not to mention police brutality and cracks within the justice system aren't issues on their radar.

There is not a country or continent on this planet that is free of black racism. Including Africa. Hate towards black people is so deeply rooted within multiple systems and cultures, it's not even remotely comparable to any other race or ethnicity

And if you want to talk Love Island, yes I acknowledge that Chelley supports an Asian racist. Fuck her idk. But two things can be true at once

I genuinely don't even like Chelley, so I don't really care if this "looks awful" on her record. Like yeah she sucks. She's clearly ignorant, but I don't think a singular person is relevant to the larger conversation of whether or not the 2 slurs are equal
