From the viewers perspective, you’re supposed to find a couple or people that you like and root for them. When you’ve found that couple/person you will also naturally feel the need to defend them bc you want them to win.

It becomes a bad thing when you start to do extreme things like calling cps or ice on someone or when you hack their account or make racist remarks or promote violence against that person.

Some of yall are getting mad at people for voicing their opinions on a person/ couple. That’s normal. It’s obvious they don’t know these people in real life and are going off of what they see which we also know is heavily edited content. If you didn’t want to hear peoples takes then why did you join the community?

I think the problem is the inability to be mature and respectful others opinions. Being respectful of others opinions while still holding your own differing opinion is a very important life skill everyone in here needs to seriously learn. It’s okay to disagree with others and have respectful conversations but as soon as you start with the “you’re a dumb bitch” or something, you’ve lost the plot and need to log off

100% agree. You don’t need to call someone out their name to prove your point. I think people just get really defensive when you disagree with them bc everyone wants to be right in their assessment of the situation. But that’s not logical bc nothing is black and white so they should really take a step back before it gets to that nasty behavior.

100%, but also people just use the internet as an excuse to be absolutely inhumane and EVIL bc they think a hate train validates certain actions

Yes and that’s crossing the line. When you’ve move the discussion away from the topic/ situation just to be hateful to that person. And I think it’s obvious to tell when that happens and you should definitely call them out for that.

Definitely but that’s how most of the conversations around the Islanders online have been going, Austin somehow being the reverse of this

Tbvh my feed isn’t that nasty. I’ve only seen 2-3 screenshots of nasty posts and nothing about Austin😭 I believe it exists. I’m just coming from my perspective. It still doesn’t change that they’re still wrong for any nasty thing they’re saying.
