language barrier? english is her first language & she’s from NYC (not defending the amayah papaya bullies but a “language barrier” is not the reason for her mispronunciations)

She lives in nyc yes. She is not from there. She does a great job at speaking English but it very obviously is not her first language.

Okay that’s my bad then, but there is a very high likelihood that she was raised in a Spanish speaking household. Where she was born isn’t really important it’s more of the fact that her first language very obviously isn’t English and people shouldn’t be making fun of her for her mispronunciations because of that

Yes!! Regardless of if ppl think English is her first language or not why are we taking everything she mispronounces and making a joke out of it?

i agree that ppl are taking it way too far, but sadly i think it is getting to the volume it’s at bc of how often her mispronunciations are
